Back to Work in Japan

Apply with evidence.

Tailor your CV and interview stories without claiming skills or credentials you have not earned.

Write for a training opportunity

Lead with your real background and transferable evidence, then describe the gap you want the program to help close. Interest in AWS is not AWS work experience, and a target of N3 is not a certificate.

Before / after writing frame

Before, generic: β€œI am passionate about technology and want to work in Japan.”

After, template only: β€œMy background in [confirmed field] includes [specific responsibility]. In [dated example], I [action] and [verifiable result]. I want to develop AWS capability through structured study and practical labs while improving my Japanese from [actual level].”

Replace brackets with facts. Remove any sentence you cannot support. This template is not your personal work history.

Prepare four short answers

  1. Why cloud engineering, and why this particular training opportunity?
  2. What have you personally configured, tested, or troubleshot?
  3. How will you sustain evening Japanese classes and AWS practice?
  4. What is your current Japanese level, and how do you ask for clarification?

β€œCould you explain that again slowly?” Practice understanding and responding, not just memorizing a script.

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner

AWS describes this as foundational, high-level cloud knowledge, not proof of production engineering.

  • AWS Solutions Architect - Associate

AWS recommends at least one year of hands-on design experience. It is a possible later direction, not an automatic promotion.

  • Official JLPT level descriptions

N3 concerns everyday Japanese comprehension to a certain degree. An N3 target is not an earned certificate or a guarantee of workplace fluency.
